Too often in the small business world we only see the polished stories that are curated for sharing – but behind-the-scenes there is usually a fair bit of frustration, confusion, and trial and error. We were moving our members area onto WordPress, with AccessAlly, and wanted to capture what it really takes to tackle a project like this, and it quickly snowballed into a full blown production. It was unexpected, but we’re proud of how it turned out, and we hope you find it valuable.
Monkeypod was growing, but our actual membership area wasn’t – it hadn’t evolved in years. Our friend Jamie finally staged an intervention and said “We’re moving you to AccessAlly”, and this is the documentation of everything after that point.

We love making videos, our YouTube channel and blog are filled with them. But sometimes we have an idea for a project that feels a little more substantial – and so Monkeypod Studios is the moniker (and mindset) we don when we’re undertaking a project with a little more artistry and storytelling.
